The Leipzig Music Walk is a musical stroll over 5 km through the Gründerzeit area and parks to the west of the city centre. Time seems to stand still here at the period around the turn of the 20th century, the time of the second Gewandhaus.
The path leads through the magnificent Waldstraßenviertel (Forest Street Quarter), through the Clara Zetkin Park and the Musikviertel (Music Quarter). The Forum Thomanum is especially worth a visit. This is where the members of the St. Thomas Boys Choir live and go to school.
This is a particularly nice tour to take when the weather is good, as there are only a few indoor sites to visit.
