Short facts

Since 1853 the company has manufactured grand pianos and concert pianos in Leipzig with a rich tradition. It is known worldwide.

Blüthner's success story began in 1853 in the famous music and trade fair city of Leipzig. Julius Blüthner, along with three journeymen, set up his famous piano factory, which over the course of his life he developed, with diligence, innovative techniques and entrepreneurial skill, into Europe's largest grand piano and piano manufactory. Since its establishment, Julius Blüthner Pianofortefabrik has sold more than 150,000 instruments worldwide. The traditional company has been family-owned for over 150 years and is now run by its fifth generation. Blüthner instruments are made from the highest quality materials, with great craftsmanship and the knowledge of experienced piano builders. In Leipzig's old town hall, there is an exclusive Blüthner shop where you can take a look at the instruments.
