Leipzig’s sacred Halls
The best way to brave the upcoming cold in Leipzig during the winter is with a shopping trip through the numerous Leipzig Arcades You can warm up in the large passageways and marvel at the great shopping facilities and shining shop windows. In addition, the passages are also visually stunning and are unique venues for art and architecture. The most famous is probably theMädler Passage, which amazes many people with its elegance. It is also home to the Auerbach’s Keller, which became famous through Goethe’s Faust. Barthels Hof is also worth seeing – due to its striking facade. Today you can enjoy traditional dishes at the restaurant inspired by the motto regional and fresh cooking. Or you can go through Speck’s Hof in the Reichsstraße and admire the impressive façade of the former Kaufhof department store.

Carola’s Garten – the new 360° panorama
Those who are already pining for spring in the winter have an alternative to the cold season. Since the end of January, you can go see the 360°-panorama “CAROLAS GARTEN – a return to paradise” at the Panometer Leipzig. Here you will be whisked away to (already blooming) paradise, which lies at our feet every day, but whose details are often not visible to the human eye. It’s worth taking a closer look at this garden, which has been enlarged a hundred times because here you can discover not only oversized bees, flowers, insects, animal life and more, but also the four seasons and even the artist himself. You will feel as if you are in the middle of a huge hidden picture. So it’s worth planning to spend some time at the Panometer because finding all the details that Yadegar Asisi and his team of artists have hidden in the round picture is not easy – but definitely beautiful and worthwhile! We hope you have fun.
