Our goal is to establish a strong reputation for Leipzig and the region as a destination for private and business travellers as well as a business location. To increase the image value and perception of the destination, we communicate the strengths and future opportunities of Leipzig and the region. - Congress marketing and support in congress acquisition

- Representation of interests vis-à-vis the state marketing organisation (TMGS) and tourism organisations at federal level (DZT, DTV, GCB)
- Bundling and coordination of numerous activities of the City of Leipzig and location marketing in close cooperation with industry, associations and institutions
LTM GmbH has set itself the task of positioning Leipzig worldwide as a city of international standing with the help of strong performance partners.
It consistently positions itself as a city of music and culture as well as a city of trade fairs and congresses. These topics are dealt with primarily in the context of communication and other marketing activities.
For further marketing, the segments Leisure Experience Leipzig and Region, which can be used excellently for this purpose, as well as historical highlights will also be communicated.
Anniversaries of important artists and institutions are also used to draw attention to the city of Leipzig.
Our Destination Strategy
History and organisation
LTM GmbH is a company of Leipzig Tourist Service e. V. The association exercises the control and monitoring function of the GmbH via its executive committee.
- 12.04.1991: Foundation of the Leipzig Tourist Association e. V.
- 01.01.1996: Takeover of the tourism-economic tasks as official tourism organisation of the city of Leipzig from the former tourism and congress office of the city of Leipzig.
- 25.03.1996: Change of name to Leipzig Tourist Service e. V.
- 01.07.2001: Foundation of Marketing Leipzig GmbH
- 01.09.2006: Acquisition of Marketing Leipzig GmbH by Leipzig Tourist Service e. V.
- 01.01.2008: Transfer of the operational activities of the association to the GmbH and change of name of the company to Leipzig Tourismus und Marketing (LTM) GmbH
- 12.07.2013: Signing of the contract of agency by the tourism association "Sächsisches Burgen- und Heideland" e. V. (TV SBuHL) and LTM GmbH
