Leipzig Tourism Prize
The Leipzig Tourism Prize is an honorary prize which Leipzig Tourismus und Marketing (LTM) GmbH has awarded annually since 2002 to a company or institution and since 2012 also to a personality who has rendered outstanding services to tourism.

LTM GmbH sent the invitation to enter (application criteria, form for submitting an election proposal) for the "Leipzig Tourism Prize" award to the participants of the tourism breakfast by e-mail. The proposals for the "Leipzig Tourism Award 2017" can be submitted until 20 October 2017 to:

The reasons for the marketing performance are submitted by the aplicant and do not always reflect the opinion of LTM GmbH.
Selection of award winners
The proposals submitted by the deadline were provided to a jury consisting of members of the Marketing Advisory Board of Leipzig Tourismus und Marketing GmbH. It is composed of expert decision-makers from the fields of culture, business, science and representatives of the parliamentary groups in the city council.
The jury selected the winner of the "Leipzig Tourism Prize 2017" on the basis of an evaluation scheme. This guarantees a qualitative evaluation of the proposals.
The election was made under exclusion of legal recourse. The award ceremony took place at the end of November 2017 as a closed event.
The winners will receive a variety of attractive benefits: The award winners will be communicated in the context of regional and national press work. LTM GmbH will place an advertising banner worth EUR 3,000 (part of a pixel banner) free of charge for the winner of the Company category in 2018.
In addition, culturtraeger GmbH sponsors an attractive advertising service.
Individual cooperation will be agreed on with the winner of the category Personality and the activities will be tailored to his needs.
Prize winner 2017
The Leipzig Bach Archive and Prof. Herbert Blomstedt, former conductor and honorary conductor of the Gewandhaus, are the winners of the "Leipzig Tourism Prize 2017".
The award ceremony took place on 27 November 2017 in the Kupfersaal Leipzig and was organised by LTM GmbH as part of the 202nd Tourism Breakfast.
