From Biedermeier to Barbra Streisand - The Lake Stage at Schladitzer Lake
Since 2009, events of all kinds have been taking place on the lake stage on the Biedermeier beach of Schladitzer Lake during the summer months. The highlight of the season is the musical "Journey to the Center of the Earth" after Jules Verne, which will be performed in August, but also theater performances, orchestra and band concerts of various genres, cabaret or multi-day festivals are included. In 2024, for example, these will be the Hayna Summer Classic of the Saxon Wind Philharmonic, Keimzeit Acoustic Quintetthe Leipziger Pfeffermühle, a Barbra Streisand Homage or the Rod Stewart Tribute Show Mr. Rod.
The venue includes approximately 1000 covered seats and is therefore Germany's largest covered lake stage. The club organized in-house events with historical flair complement the program. The Biedermeier period presented in an amusing way and showed that not everything was cosy and philistine back then.

The Saxon Wind Philharmonic – a very special orchestra
As a former Leipzig Radio Wind Orchestra, today’s Saxon Wind Philharmonic has an eventful history. What remains to this day is its unique selling point as symphonic wind ensemble among the German concert and theater orchestras and the Award as Ensemble of the Year 2023.
In the multifaceted sound spectrum of the Saxon Wind Philharmonic you can enjoy the fairytale castle concerts of "1001 Nights" because this year, castles and palaces will once again be illuminated with music. Like all good fairy tales, the summer open-air concerts begin with: "Once upon a time..." and blur the boundaries between dream and reality.

Jagdhaus Kössern - baroque gem newly restored
The Kössern hunting lodge was built in 1709 in the style of a large manor house and is considered an outstanding gem of baroque architecture in the Muldental valley. It has been extensively restored over the last two years and will celebrate a celebratory move-in partyFrom now on, concerts can once again be held in the ballroom, where singing voices and instruments can be perfectly showcased in the beautiful ambience. Irish folk in the classicist Schwind Pavilion
In the neoclassical building, built in 1839 as a music salon, Schwind Pavilion Music events take place that are anything but dusty! This year we can look forward to various concerts of Irish folk music in this beautiful historical setting. The band "Folkländer", which was one of the most influential bands of the GDR folk scene at the time and has not lost any of its popularity to this day. In 2023, Folkländer won the "RUTH" award at the Rudolstadt Festival, Germany's largest folk roots world music festival. In the Schwind Pavilion, you can listen to new songs with their program "So viele Wege", but also catchy tunes that have long since mutated into folk classics.
In June, the duo will grace "Anger & Plush" the Schwind Pavilion, which has become an integral part of the German Irish folk scene and is one of the dinosaurs among the protagonists. The band name comes from their names: Cornelius "Zorny" Bode and Guido Plüschke, which translate into English as Anger (for anger) and Plush (for plush). By the way: Guido Plüschke is considered one of the best bodhran players in Germany (this is an Irish frame drum)!
It is also worth taking a look at the other music programme in the Schwind Pavilion, because in addition to folk music, you can also immerse yourself in classical, baroque and mystical music.
