Craftsmanship like back then

Defrosting pre-produced frozen goods? Unthinkable at the Göbecke bakery! Here too, the family business relies on tradition and remains true to its **artisan roots**. There would have been plenty of opportunities to increase production volumes and sales opportunities. However, the baked goods are still only produced and sold by hand directly at the production site itself. The master bakers bake **fresh baked goods on demand** at all opening times. Without long transportation routes, raisin rolls and co. end up directly in your shopping bag shortly after completion. Still warm! At the Göbecke bakery, you get **high-quality baked goods** that you won't find in most large and chain bakeries.

Long family tradition

Over 100 years ago, **master baker Hugo Köhler and his wife Emma** took freshly baked bread out of the oven of the bakery in Mittelstraße (now Hans-Poeche-Straße) for the first time. The delicious baked goods were also popular with many restaurants such as **Auerbachs Keller, hotels, the Kristallpalast and the train station** thanks to their central location between the train station, Kristallpalast and the Lagerhof transshipment point. In 1937, daughter **Charlotte and her husband Kurt Göbecke** took over the running of the bakery. Despite all the turmoil of war and production facilities partially destroyed by bombing raids, the ovens in the Göbecke bakery continued to run. Even in the years that followed, the mixing spoon never left the family's hands. Since 1971, **Peter and Sabine Göbecke** have been in the bakery. The couple expanded and modernized the business and finally passed it on to their two **children Christine and Matthias** in 2004.<br
