Summer, sun, swimming fun ... Leipzig's New Lake District

Our advice: Combine your trip with a detour to Hainer Lake, which is located just a few kilometers further south. With just under 600 hectares It is one of the largest in the Leipzig New Lake District. Combine your trip with a nice bike tour. And for all those who don't like sports - don't worry, you'll be doing part of the tour by bus. So: pack your picnic basket, put on your helmet and off you go! The tour begins with the journey to the "Probstheida, Wendestelle" stop. After loading up the bikes and boarding bus 141, the first thing to do is sit back and relax and enjoy the foretaste of the tour through the bus window. Then saddle up again and continue the tour along the northern shore of the Störmthaler Lake. Once you arrive in Auenhain, turn onto Bornaer Chaussee. This road leads after about 30 km back to the starting point in Probstheida.
