Where can I find the park?
The park is located in the area of Leipzig's Westvorstadt, in the Zentrum-West district. It is surrounded to the northwest by the Ferdinand-Lassalle-Straße, northeast of Paul-Gerhardt-Weg and the Friedrich-Ebert-Strasse, to the south by the Karl-Tauchnitz-Straße and in the southwest by the Edvard-Grieg-AlleeNeighbouring residential areas are the Bachviertel, the inner Westvorstadt and the Musikviertel.

What is special about the park?
The special thing about the park will probably catch your eye immediately. You have the best View of the Battle of the Nations Monument. It was on this meadow that Napoleon lost the war of liberation against the troops of the Prussians, Austrians, Swedes and Russians in 1813. But don't worry, there is nothing left of the bloodbath today. Only the imposing monument commemorates the battle. There is plenty of space on the grounds to relax or play football - with a view of one of the most beautiful landmark of Leipzig.

The park was built on the site of the former Eilenburg train station The green lung for the east of Leipzig leads from legal process to Riebeckstraße.
What is special about the park?
There are many parks in Leipzig, but this one is special: tubular, metal pipes that lead across the meadow, with Graffiti painted old industrial buildings - the Lene Voigt Park is no ordinary park. After its completion in 1874, it served as a place of rest for the workers at Eilenburg station in the midst of barren industrial buildings. Today, the green oasis in the east of Leipzig is a meeting place for families and students. playgrounds and sports fields line the area. If you are more active and do not feel like a classic park, then the Lene-Voigt-Park exactly the right thing for you.
