Lene Voigt Park - refreshingly different

**Where can I find the park?**

The park was created on the site of the former **Eilenburg railroad station**. The green lung for the east of Leipzig runs from **Gerichtsweg** to **Riebeckstraße**.

**What is special about the park?**

There are many parks in Leipzig, but this one is special: tubular, **metal pipes** running across the meadow, old industrial buildings painted with **graffiti** - Lene Voigt Park is no ordinary park. After its completion in 1874, it served the workers of the Eilenburg railroad station as a resting place in the middle of barren industrial buildings. Today, this green oasis in the east of Leipzig is a meeting place for families and students. **Playgrounds and sports fields** line the grounds. If you are more active and don't fancy a classic park, then the is just the thing for you.
