Barthels Hof was built between 1747 and 1750 by the Leipzig merchant Gottlieb Barthel, making it the last remaining mercantile courtyard from the time of the goods fair in the 18th century. In the courtyard, you can still see the crane beams with which the goods were pulled up into the storeroom in those days.

In the course of reconstruction in 1870 and 1871, the characteristic neo-baroque street façade and the wide passageway to the courtyard were also built. Since then, the Renaissance oriel has also been located in the courtyard, which is considered to be the oldest fragment of a Leipzig town house façade.

Seats: 168 indoor, 200 outdoor
