Clara Zetkin Park

Short facts

  • Leipzig
  • Park/garden, Worth seeing,…

Clara Zetkin Park to the south of Leipzig's city centre includes the historic Johannapark, Palmengarten, Volkspark, Scheibenholz and Albertpark.

Leipzig is known for its many green spaces, meaning the large Clara Zetkin Park is only one of many green oases in the middle of the city. Just a few minutes' walk from the historic city centre, it combines the historic Johannapark, Palmengarten, Volkspark, Scheibenholz and Albertpark.

A multitude of leisure activities tempt you to take a trip to the green areas, and the Glashaus restaurant in the heart of the park is a popular outdoor venue. The beer garden and café are next to the historic music pavilion, and the open-air stage is a popular venue for concerts and cinema performances in summer. The large playground next to the Scheibenholz racecourse is one of the most popular in Leipzig, where parents and children can go on family outings.
