Stadtgeschichtliches Museum Leipzig (Museum of City History)
The Museum of City History has captured Leipzig's city history and it spread across numerous exhibitions and museum holdings throughout the city. In addition to the Old Town Hall, the Monument to the Battle of the Nations & FORUM 1813 and the Schillerhaus, there is also Haus Böttchergässchen in the street of the same name. Not far from the market square and the Old Town Hall, Haus Böttchergässchen is home to the management, administration and central archive of the Museum of City History. Several special exhibitions give you a historico-cultural view into Leipzig's past, which is complemented by an extensive library and photo archive.
Admission is free on the first Wednesday of every month.
Tuesday - Sunday, public holidays 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.
