Tram Museum Leipzig
The Tram Museum Leipzig houses a comprehensive collection of contemporary witnesses to the history of Leipzig's public transport system. 38 trams for passenger transport from the first years of operation from 1896 to 1988 have been restored to their original condition, to a large extent ready for operation. In addition, numerous special and technical vehicles, material resources and selected non-rail vehicles (e.g. buses) are a part of the museum.
Every third Sunday from May to September, the museum opens its doors to visitors from 10 am to 5 pm. The special tram line 21E brings visitors from the city center to the museum every hour. On the opening days, there are also additional special trips with historic vehicles starting at the museum.
