The University of Leipzig is spread across 14 faculties and more than 150 institutes. Since 1409, the university has been the central location for disseminating knowledge and research and covers the entire spectrum of study subjects. From natural sciences, law and medicine to a wide range of humanities courses. The University of Leipzig offers the right course of study for every prospective student.

True to the motto, "transcending borders with tradition", the educational programme of the university aims at inter- and transdisciplinary practices, as well as going beyond faculty and institute borders.
