It is arguably Leipzig's best-known landmark, commemorating the historic Battle of the Nations against Napoleon in the autumn of 1813. Climb 364 steps and enjoy a phenomenal panoramic view of Leipzig and its surroundings from the observation deck.

The FORUM 1813 museum is integrated into the monument complex and offers spectacular insights into the events of the liberation wars and their climax, the decisive Battle of the Nations near Leipzig.

Wheelchair access to the monument is possible via the entrance "An der Tabaksmühle". Access to the lift in the entrance area of the monument is at"St. Michael-Plateau“. From there a lift will take you up to the "Gallery of Singers".

There are wheelchair accessible toilets in the museum's entrance hall.

The museum has a guidance system for blind or visually impaired visitors.
