Since more and more establishments are paying attention to accessibility, you can really experience a lot in Leipzig as a person with limited mobility or with a stroller. Many establishments have ramps or elevators so that you can, for example, reach great viewing platforms or attend cultural performances.

As a visually impaired traveler, you can experience many of the offers barrier-free. Some museums, for example, offer audio guides or brochures in Braille.

An example is this Schauspiel LeipzigIn 2018, it received the Mosaik Inclusion Prize from Central Germany and the Honorary Prize from the Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired in Saxony. A monthly performance with live audio description takes place there. Before these performances, the Schauspiel Leipzig offers a tactile stage tour to feel the props and costumes.
