Thanks to a variety of measures, particulate matter pollution in Germany has been reduced in recent years. Unfortunately, data from the Federal Environment Agency shows that the absolute mass of particulate matter from small combustion plants has not been sufficiently reduced. The further tightening of limit values, initiated by the WHO and accelerated by the EU and the revision of the Eco-Design Directive, will therefore lead to increased requirements, particularly for small combustion plants.
The extent to which small-scale biomass combustion plants can remain a part of the long-term heating landscape through the use of dust separators, and how the emission of harmful dust can be minimized, will be discussed by participants of the 17th expert meeting on "Particle Separators in Domestic Combustion Plants." The event will also provide an opportunity to exchange information on the regulatory framework, the latest developments, and scientific studies.
The event is aimed particularly at:
– Manufacturers of secondary dust reduction devices and catalysts
– Manufacturers of boilers and individual room heating systems
– Research institutions
– Representatives from politics, administration, and associations with a professional interest
