French Music for Violin and Piano

Charles Koechlin writes about the musical spirit of optimism in Paris at the beginning of the 20th century: "We found the desire to break the old rules, these new sound discoveries, in Franck and Fauré, but above all in a strange and mysterious colleague, Claude Debussy. Sometimes a single bar from a brilliant colleague is enough to open the door to the enchanted gardens, in which we may then be able to pick flowers that are completely different from those he himself picked."
In our concert “Dans un jardin lumineux” you will experience the beauty and brightness of the colors of impressionism in Debussy, floating fairy sounds and pure poetry in Koechlin. Listen to the witty free spirit beyond classical forms in Satie and the harsher sounds in Prokofiev. Let yourself be enchanted by the flair of the early 20th century in Paris.
