ADOLF BEYOND THE MOON

Show

The final episode of the season before the summer break. A theatrical vision that blends historical reality, fiction, utopia, and aspirations for the future.

In the 1960s, a space race ensued between the USA and the Soviet Union. After the Soviet Union sent the first human into space, the USA achieved the first manned moon landing on July 20, 1969, with Apollo 11, an event watched by 600 million people worldwide.

Adolf Südknecht sleeps through the broadcast of the moon landing, but suddenly finds himself on the moon in his dream. Arriving on its far side, he discovers a human colony. It's a kind of mirror image of the people he knows from Earth. His experiences are confusing, as dreams often are; even his ex-wife reappears. And slowly, a certain homesickness begins to stir within him. But how can he get back? His means of transport is gone.
