On December 6th and 7th, 2025, the Christmas market at the Markkleeberg gatehouse opens its doors, ushering in the Advent season. Visitors can stroll among the festively decorated stalls, discover handcrafted goods, and indulge in sweet and savory treats. In addition to chocolate-covered fruit, mulled wine, and doughnuts, visitors can expect numerous vendor stalls, a historic carousel, and musical entertainment – including a performance by the Thuringian Cathedral Brass Band.
