Climate Book Fair 2026: Let's dream of Leipzig's bright future – Cordula Weimann reads from "Grandma, tell me about the future", the children's book by Grandmas for Future
Cordula Weimann and Miriam Zedelius (invited) take us to five European cities that have bravely embraced a more humane urban transformation. Today, they are among the happiest places in the world. Through this children's book, grandmothers also take their grandchildren into the future, exploring together what a truly good city for people can look like. It's an exciting and heartwarming adventure story about friendship, the Rainbow Worm, courage, and how we can create a more livable future. For children aged 6 and up, and their parents and grandparents.
In our discussion about the Grandmothers for Future book project, we can learn what we can learn from cities like Copenhagen, Paris, or Tübingen. And together, we want to dream about Leipzig: Walking to school alone? Cycling on the ring road? Playing ball right in front of the house?
Together we are painting a picture of the Leipzig of our future, in Gohlis and elsewhere.
Moderation: Bettina van Suntum
