A pre-Christmas paradise awaits visitors at the Delitzsch Advent Market from December 5th to 7th, 2025. International specialties, handmade works of art, and a diverse family program promise an Advent weekend full of delights, fragrances, and atmospheric moments. More than 80 stalls offer delicacies such as Salzwedel Baumkuchen (tree cake), Trdelník (traditional German Christmas cake), Takoyaki (Japanese street food), Khachapuri (Georgian cheese bread), Macarons, Poffertjes (a traditional German dish), Flame-grilled Salmon, Langos (a traditional German dish), Mulled Gin, and Hemp Eggnog – culinary highlights from around the world that have made the Advent market famous far beyond the region.
Glassblowers, woodworkers, ceramicists, fashion manufacturers, and other artisans present their unique creations and invite visitors to marvel and browse. In the "Markt Zwanzig" event center, guests can also enjoy a weather-protected indoor area with even more handmade unique items, delicate Christmas tree decorations, Christmas pyramids, and special gift ideas. On the market stage, a continuous program of live music and Christmas tunes creates a festive atmosphere. For children, there are carousel and train rides, as well as the popular free mobile play area on weekend afternoons.

Public transport: Delitzsch is connected to the Central German Transport Association (CVG). S-Bahn trains towards Leipzig and Halle run twice an hour.
In addition, there is a regional train to Eilenburg and a regional express train to Magdeburg.
Major highways are in the immediate vicinity:
- A9, exit Wiedemar, then continue on S1 and S2 to Delitzsch
- A14, exit Leipzig-Mitte/Delitzsch, then continue on B 184 to Delitzsch
- Connection to the A38 motorway (Leipzig-Göttingen).
