A comedy about everyday questions, which deliberately starts where we all sit laughing and ask ourselves:
Is this about saving face or preserving a marriage?
Who is actually to blame for the way things are, or better: for what led to the present?
Is it really about getting out of the dilemma or just getting out of the therapy session unscathed?

We are secret observers of a couples therapy session in which a woman and a man want (or should want) to overcome their problems with the help of a counselor. Whether this can succeed depends, as so often in life, on the willpower each person "invests." SHE always knows in advance what he would say and doesn't skimp on examples and endless rhetoric. HE blatantly expresses his displeasure and acceptance of the "well, so-so" status by ignoring his wife and showing general reservations about therapy. "The Miracle Exercise" explores whether there is anything else that could be done, and if so, how.
