On Saturday, April 25, 2026, the Leipzig Symphony Orchestra invites you to a delightful operetta concert in the Schweizergarten. Under the direction of Robbert van Steijn, a varied afternoon dedicated to Viennese operetta will unfold. The program features works by Johann Strauss II, Franz Lehár, Carl Zeller, and Carl Millöcker. Well-known overtures, lively polkas, and grand waltzes will be interspersed with popular operetta songs. The program includes, among others, the overture and the Csárdás from Die Fledermaus, the Emperor Waltz, "Roses from the South," and Lehár's Vilja Song from The Merry Widow.
