Irish Tragic Comic – The Small Change
An Irish tragicomedy true to the motto "We laugh because we cry!"
Accidents happen all over the world. And when you're blamed for an accident, and everyone says, "It's your fault," it can drive you to despair. And even further…
Am I really to blame? Because if I had decided and acted differently, this tragedy wouldn't have happened. These are the kinds of questions the protagonist grapples with, a man who usually solves his problems through boxing training. His buddies are cut from the same cloth: broken homes, no future prospects, and a whole lot of trouble with difficult people. For them, a fist is worth more than a word. But those who resort to violence usually find it very difficult to talk about feelings.
On this day everything escalates: He loses a handful of small change, gets involved in a commonplace, idiotic honor bargain, falls in love for the first time; only to mess it up again immediately… and it all starts with a burning mattress.
