Guided tour of the WERK 2 site

WERK 2 opens its doors and offers a look behind the scenes and into the history of the former factory site.

The Kulturfabrik was built in 1848 as a gas meter factory and was used as VEB Werkstoffprüfmaschinen Leipzig until the fall of the Berlin Wall. WERK 1992 – Kulturfabrik Leipzig eV was founded in 2 and breathed new life into the disused site.
Since then, WERK 2 has operated as a socio-cultural center with an extensive program and its workshops.

This tour offers insights into rooms that are usually closed to guests and is peppered with all sorts of anecdotes from old and new times.

Meeting point: courtyard entrance, Kochstr. 132. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
