What is a stand-up comedy open mic?
A stand-up comedy open mic is a small comedy testing ground. Here you can see 4 to 8 comedians and comedians each week presenting their new
Test out jokes or perform well-known routines. An evening lasts between 90 and 120 minutes, depending on the number of comedians. After about three or four comedians, there's a short break. During this time, you can refill your drinks and briefly recharge your batteries for the second half. At the beginning, there will be a host who will chat with you and prepare the room for the comedians.
When and where does the stand-up comedy open mic take place?
You can find us every Wednesday and every two Saturdays at the Jet (Arthur-Hoffmann-Straße 54). In this rough little bar, almost anything is allowed. Smoking is allowed, drinking is allowed, and only the comedians are allowed to
A little bit of rowdiness. If you're up for a rough and dirty evening, come along.
The show starts at 21:00 PM. Doors will begin opening at 20:40 PM. Those who arrive a little earlier are welcome to head to the bar, play foosball, or explore one of the Jet's many other great options.
The shows are donation-based.
Of course, this still means that admission is free and everyone is welcome.
Cultural events like comedy open mics shouldn't be hidden behind expensive tickets. However, donations at the end of the show help us continue to support this event on this scale. The recommended donation is €10 per person. At the end of the day, however, you decide how much you want to give.
