Upon returning to her small East German hometown, activist Tine discovers an old corpse in the local moor. She then sets out to uncover both the hidden past of the community and her family's secrets. When Tine decides to make a short film with a group of young people, she gets closer to the truth.

Laura Laabs, born in East Berlin in 1985, is a freelance director and writer. She studied politics and film studies, followed by film directing at the Konrad Wolf Film and Television University in Potsdam-Babelsberg. Her feature film debut, "Red Stars Over the Field," won the Critics' Prize at the Max Ophüls Festival. She lives in Bad Kleinen and Berlin.
