Paul Gerhardt Year 2026

Grimma will dedicate the year 2026 to the memory of Paul Gerhardt, one of the most important hymn writers of the Baroque era and a former student of the Princely School in Grimma. With a diverse program, the city will focus on the poet's life and work. Organ concerts, exhibitions, readings, and spontaneous poetry duels will bring Gerhardt's texts to the stages and squares of Grimma.
