Gunter Böhnke – On the Home Straight

stage/theater
Opera
Show

What does Fontane's John Maynard of Lake Erie have to do with the Lost Water of a prepubescent little boy from Dresden? Was the name "Hamlet" only borne by a Shakespearean ponderer? What does the student from Goethe's "Faust" do with a balloon of formic acid? How does an FDJ song get into the Cologne carnival? How does the driver of an RT-125 motorcycle manage to fall asleep while driving? And how does a conscientious objector defeat German democratic popular education?

"So many questions, so many reports!", Brecht would have said at this point. But the cabaret artist Gunter Böhnke even answers questions that are not even asked. And of course, with the help of his symphonists Jörg Leistner on piano, Thomas Moritz on bass and Peter Jakubik on drums, he solves all the problems that arise in conversation with the audience on this cheerful evening.
