If you are planning a trip into the city centre, it is a good idea to bring your own water bottle. You can fill it up at any time at the drinking fountains on Petersstrasse or Katharinenstrasse.

If you need a toilet break, you can use the public toilets. In the center you will find public toilets at the following locations:

On the northwestern edge of the city center you will find the Richard Wagner Memorial, surrounded by a green lawn, which is perfect for a relaxing break - especially in spring, when the square is surrounded by colorful flower beds. And right in the middle of the lively center between St. Thomas Church and the market lies the Thomaswiese, a green retreat with plenty of seating in the shade of the trees.
