**The over 500-year-old Auerbachs Keller under the roof of the Mädler Passage invites you to follow in the footsteps of Goethe and Faust.**

With his drama "Faust", Johann Wolfgang von Goethe created a important monument to the Auerbachs Keller. The historic inn consists of the "Großer Keller" restaurant, which serves classic, hearty Saxon cuisine, the "Mephisto Bar", which entices guests with cocktails and live music, and the "Historische Weinstuben", which can be visited on the "In the Footsteps of Goethe and Faust" tour or booked by groups of 20 people or more for special events in the four lovingly restored guest rooms.
