Musikpavillon in Clara Zetkin Park

Short facts

Today, the historic white building is complemented by a restaurant with a beer garden and is an especially popular place to watch sporting events.

Today, as always, it is regarded as a meeting place in the park, where Leipzig life can be brilliantly enjoyed. The Musikpavillon in Clara Zetkin Park was built in 1912 and was intended to entertain the Leipzig population with open-air orchestral concerts. From the beginning, the concerts in the Musikpavillon were a great success and attracted up to 2,000 visitors to the park on concert days. Over the years, the programme and performers have changed again and again, but the event pavilion has never lost its popularity. Today, the historic white building is complemented by a restaurant with a beer garden and, in addition to the traditional music performances, is an especially popular place to watch sporting events.
