Leipzig city centre is also a perfect starting point for excursions into the Leipzig region! The river Elbe cycle route at Belgern promises to be an eventful trip, as does the river Mulde Bike Trail from Döbeln to Löbnitz, which can be challenging in places. The best way to explore the well-marked network of cycle paths and hiking trails is to cycle or hike without luggage.
