Scheibenholz Racecourse

The Scheibenholz racecourse is Leipzig's oldest sports facility and has been run by the Leipziger Reit- und Rennverein Scheibenholz e. V. since 1867. Equestrian enthusiasts will be delighted by the numerous horse races on the traditional track. Every year on 1 May, the season begins with the big canter. Following the style of the British Ascot, the Leipzig racecourse also welcomes you to stroll as well as see and be seen on Modern Sunday.
In addition to equestrian sports, Scheibenholz also offers many other reasons to visit: The antique and flea market is perfect for browsing and at the summer cinema in Scheibenholz, you can watch classic films in the open air on warm evenings.

Also the gastronomic offer at Scheibenholz racecourse has something for every taste. The idyllic beer garden in particular invites you to linger in the immediate vicinity of the Elstermühlgraben when the weather is fine.
