Where art meets architecture
The Museum of Fine Arts (MdbK for short) is one of the oldest public collections in Germany. Many masterpieces dating from the 15th to 21st centuries are presented across more than 7,000 square metres of exhibition space.
A special focus is the art of the "New Leipzig School". It is widely appreciated by art lovers and collectors worldwide and unites works by artists such as Neo Rauch, Matthias Weischer and Christiane Baumgartner.
The Museum of Fine Arts also offers many events geared towards children. These include the Sunday family programme "EMDEBEKA", an extensive holiday programme and special offers for kindergarten groups and school classes.
