The restaurant in the Romanushaus
The baroque city palace "Romanushaus" is home to the restaurant Romanushof and was built between 1701 and 1703 for mayor Franz Conrad Romanus. During Bach, Goethe and Schiller's lifetimes, this building had a popular coffee house. Today the Romanushof predominantly offers traditional cuisine and Saxon home cooking. There is also a sales counter for homemade bread, regional cheese specialities and homemade sausages. All dishes are also available in children's portions for the restaurant's younger guests.
