Leipzig's oldest operational bathing facility
The Schreberbad, located west of Leipzig's old town, can look back on a history that has spanned more than 150 years. The bathing facility opened in 1866, making it the oldest in Leipzig. The Schreberbad got its name from the adjacent allotment garden, which is considered to be the oldest of its kind in the whole of Germany. Today, the modernised bathing facility includes three pools, several large reclining areas, a children's playground, a small sports facility, restaurants and a changing room and sanitary area.
