Enjoy incredible peace and idyllic nature on our relaxed tour to the southern Leipzig floodplain forest. The trip takes you from the Leipzig city harbor across the Elster flood bed to the Connewitz lock. From there we travel on the Pleiße through the floodplain forest, passing the mouth of the Floßgraben and the connection to Lake Cospuden. The floodplain forest is rich in various animal and plant species. In addition to the famous and equally shy kingfisher, many other bird, fish and mammal species can be observed. Your captain will be happy to tell you more about the special features of the floodplain forest with interesting stories.
The turning point of our tour is the wildlife park in the southern floodplain forest.
