Cities and Culture

Experience the fascination of a lively city in the glow of its lights. Marvel at the sights of this metropolis by moonlight. You will see the largest square in Leipzig with the Gewandhaus, Kroch high-rise and the opera. Our night tour offers you magnificent architecture in the glow of lights from Baroque to Art Nouveau to modern. You will encounter Leipzig's nightlife on the "Karli" and see all the important sights such as the zoo and the congress hall, the Gohlis castle, and the water town of Plagwitz, but also the broadcasting center of the Central German Broadcasting Corporation or the Battle of the Nations Monument in the south of the city. You will be surprised and fascinated by this city with its charm in the glow of lights. Our tour guide, dressed as a night watchman, will entertain you with a wealth of information and anecdotes and accompany you through the night in Saxon dialect and a good portion of Leipzig mother wit.

After about an hour we have a short toilet break and a small refreshing drink. After a 90-minute city tour, our night watchman will lead you from Augustusplatz to Nikolaikirchhof and to some of the special features of Leipzig's passages. The tour ends with a walk through Leipzig's old town, but our tour guide will also be happy to accompany you back to the starting point on Richard-Wagner-Straße.

Tour: 1,5h city tour with approx. 20 min. break at Brauhaus Napoleon + 1 non-alcoholic drink and 30 min. city tour through Leipzig's old town
