Leipzig is known for many things. It is a book city, a trade fair city and a music city. But a beer city?

In fact, the city not only occupies a firm place in Germany's more traditional beer history, but also offers a focal point for fans of the craft beer scene.

With the beer tour we would like to introduce you to the tradition and modernity of Leipzig's beer variety.

You will also go on a 2,5-hour tour with a trained beer sommelier, where you will discover small breweries and beer-filled places. You will try 5 hand-drawn beers - traditional varieties as well as the latest trends. The tour offers a look behind the scenes of a craft brewery, visits a beer specialist shop and ends in one of the coziest craft beer bars in the city. So you are right in the middle of the action on the tour - great bar atmosphere included.

About Your Guide:
Since 2014, Stine Täubert has been fascinated by the variety and enjoyment of beer specialties from all over the world and began training as a beer sommelier after studying business administration. She also co-founded the Leipzig craft beer bar Dr. Hops. With the beer tour, she wants to give interested people a taste of Leipzig's beer history and give them a look behind the scenes of small breweries and bars.
