The Pittlerwerke are considered a monument to Saxon industrial culture. At its peak, around 7.000 people worked in shifts in the former machine tool factory. After the industrial complex had been largely empty since 1996, it developed into a place for sustainable collaboration and living, for cultural experiences and space for a wide variety of events.
Since March 2024, the Pittlerwerke have been opening their doors and gates for the first time for Leipzig city events and inviting people to an exclusive lost place tour through the still empty parts of the site. Here you can get deep insights behind the facades of the former machine tool factory and lots of exciting information about the history and future of the extensive industrial complex.
