Enjoy the beautiful river landscape of the White Elster and the Karl-Heine Canal. On the tour you will get to know Leipzig from a different side, unknown to many people. In the middle of the city you will experience nature as well as centuries-old and modern architecture.

Your tour starts at the centrally located Leipzig city harbor. Relax on board a motorboat and take a 70-minute sightseeing tour of the historical and modern sights of Leipzig along the river bank.

Discover the villa of the famous Baedeker family, known among travelers all over the world. Continue to the Palmengartenwehr, an important part of Leipzig's flood protection. Then explore the western districts and enjoy a brief moment of silence while admiring the nature around you. Afterwards, you can enjoy the impressive architecture of the Buntgarnwerke, a former yarn factory from the late 19th century. This is one of the largest industrial monuments in Germany.

On the way to the Karl-Heine Canal, you will explore the most beautiful rivers in Leipzig. The lawyer, entrepreneur and industrial pioneer Dr. Carl Heine played a key role in the urban development of western Leipzig.
