The trip leads from the Leipzig city harbor across the Elster flood bed to our location at the Scheibenholz race track. From there we travel to the Connewitz lock and continue on the Pleiße through the floodplain forest to the mouth of the Floßgraben, which marks the turning point of the tour. The floodplain forest is rich in various animal and plant species. In addition to the famous and equally shy kingfisher, many other bird, fish and mammal species can be observed.
