Shostakovich Festival 2025 in Leipzig: 15 May - 1 June 2025

To mark the 50th anniversary of his death, Leipzig is celebrating the great Dmitri Shostakovich Festival in 2025. In honour of the Russian composer, you will experience how the Gewandhaus Orchestra, the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the festival orchestra founded especially for the festival - consisting of members of the Mendelssohn Orchestra Academy and the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra - perform all of Dmitri Shostakovich's symphonies and solo concertos in the Gewandhaus. A unique opportunity to get to know the city on a short break.
