The Lippendorf power station is one of Europe's most modern coal-fired power plants located about 15 kilometres south of Leipzig. It consists of a double-block unit, where both power plant units are operated by the Lusatian power companies. As part of a two-hour guided tour, visitors can take a look behind the scenes of the plant, visit the halls with the respective workstations and gain numerous technological insights. From the 163-metre high boiler house, the visitor is even granted a unique view of the Leipzig New Lake District.
