Lene Voigt Park
Leipzig's eastern green area is a special place and deserves a special place in the list of Leipzig's numerous parks. The Lene-Voigt-Park is located on the former site of the Eilenburg railway station and is an unusually long and narrow green strip. Although it does not have the idyllic beauty of Clara Zetkin Park or Peace Park, Lene Voigt Park is a place full of life and character. Surrounded by the industrial charm of the east of Leipzig and the numerous playgrounds, cyclists and recreation seekers, the park, named after the Saxon mudart poet Lene Voigt, exudes an urban flair. With its many shady trees and green picnic meadows, it is also a green oasis in the city, where you can experience the typical young and relaxed Leipzig way of life.
