The zoo in Eilenburg is small but beautiful, and its more than 50.000 visitors each year are testament to the quality of this Eilenburg gem. The four-hectare green oasis in the middle of the city park is home to 210 animals from 34 species. There is something for children to play with, pet and discover everywhere. Visitors can also explore a nature trail through wetlands and forest areas. Throughout the year, the zoo offers lots of great events for the whole family, and the spooky fun at Halloween or Christmas in the zoo is particularly popular. A restaurant in the entrance area provides food and drink, and in the warmer months it is a great place to sit outside while the little ones romp around on the playground.
