The observation tower on the Bistumhöhe (Diocese Peak) provides a picturesque view of Lake Cospuden.
The Bistumhöhe is a hill on the south west part of Lake Cospuden. There you can find a 35-meter observation tower, which offers a picturesque view over Zwenkau and the Lake Cospuden. With its chimney-shaped construction, the tower is reminiscent of the former chimneys that characterised Leipzig for a long time. This observation tower's name comes from the history of the hill, which is said to have belonged to the diocese (Bishop) of Merseburg. A visit is especially worthwhile in the early evening hours to watch the romantic sunset.
